We just adore this couple. Alicia and Jonathan were one of the sweetest couples we have ever worked with. Pure love at it's best.
We asked them a few questions about them and their wedding day. Check it out!
How did you meet your husband?
I met my husband at our church.
At first, we were just friends and he used to make fun of my super red hair (my hair was dyed red) and called me strawberry, until we ended up in the same worship team.
He was the pianist and I was the singer, and we became closer as we both were serving at our church.
He did admit that he's had a crush on me ever since he bought me a Tim Horton's coffee:), and probably after my hair was dyed back to its natural color haha..
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
The wedding ceremony was my favorite part.
So many people came; family, friends, and the people from our church.
Some even came all the way from Indonesia. My grandmother and uncles and aunts had to travel for more than 20 hours just to be there.
We had a lot of friends and family helping out decorating the sanctuary.
The sanctuary was beautiful for me BECAUSE it was decorated by them.
Some of our good friends were the musicians, singers, MCs, and the general managers that day. Our pre-marriage counselors gave us the exhortations and we felt really close to them because they've known my husband since he was practically in his mother's womb.
We really see the love that they have for us and we can never thank them enough for their help and support.
Also, my husband surprised me by singing his vow to me: Too much of everything by Corneille, with his best man (his brother) playing the guitar.
Why did you choose this special venue for your wedding?
We chose to get married at our own church because that's where we met and that's where we've been serving God together.
For the banquet hall, we chose the Queen Elizabeth hotel because the food was great and we love the contemporary/classic look of the hall.
From whom are your wedding rings?
Our wedding rings are designed by a Montreal jeweler, whose name remains anonymous. He basically designed everything from scratch.
Where is your wedding dress from?
I rented my wedding dress from Ami-fer (at Plaza St. Hubert).
It was the first dress I tried on in that store and right away I knew it was me.
Did you wear special fashion accessories from a certain designer?
No.
Who did your hair and makeup?
My hair was done by one of my good friends, Sandy.
She's been doing hairstyling for a while and she listened to what I wanted.
My make up was done by Charlotte Marie Flannery.
Charlotte was great and comforting. Very efficient and helpful.
Where are your shoes from?
I bought my shoes from a store at Plaza St. Hubert.
They were on sale for $40 and they were so classy, and I was happy that they were on sale because all other wedding shoe stores I went to were too expensive.
Where were the bridesmaid dresses from?
My maid of honor's dress was from Ami-fer, and my flower girl's dress was from a store at Plaza St. Hubert that sells party dresses.
Where is the groom´s suite or tuxedo from?
The tux was rented from Moores.
Who designed your wedding invitations?
We went with Siempre invitations.
They have a rep in Montreal, so we went to see her and chose the template and the color that we liked.
We were happy with Siempre because our invitations were elegant, yet not expensive.
Who was responsible for the event design and the decoration?
We chose one of youths at our church, Jessica, to design and decor our wedding because we've known her for a while and she's very artistic and responsible, even though she was young.
Jessica got a bunch of our friends to help out by being in the decor team.
Who was your wedding planner for this unforgettable day?
It would be the bride and the groom
During the wedding day though, we entrust everything to our good friends, who were the general managers of our wedding. They were great as they ran everything from the background.
Who designed the bridal bouquet and arranged the flower design?
It was the florist at Gare Central.
Where was the wedding cake from?
From Pekarna, the pastry store that we like.
Our cake was triple ganache.
What kind of favors did you give as a present for your guests?
We gave an Indonesia Batik bookmark (because I'm Indonesian), and Batik is famous cloth from Indonesia.
Who supplied the catering?
For the food at church, right after the ceremony, we had Chinese food catered by Wok Cafe, as well as the ladies at church who cooked the food themselves, and for the banquet, the hotel, Queen Elizabeth, provided the food.
Who was the DJ/Live Band on your wedding?
Our DJ was from A2 productions.
Where do you spend your honeymoon?
We went around Paris and Northern France.

Thanks, Christina! Awesome pics!!!!!
Awaiting for the vintage effects hehehe *wink wink*
