Guests were wowed by Sweet Tables by Natacha Williams.  We brought Photobooth Montreal to the event, where we wrapped the 5×7 photos in gorgeous frames by Birks.  The private members only club in Montreal, was a spectacular venue.  Thank-you so much, Cava Rose!

]]> http://www.christinaestebanphotography.com/blog/2011/12/cava-rose-sparkly-holiday-party/feed/ 0 Sylva’s Baby Showerhttp://www.christinaestebanphotography.com/blog/2011/06/sylvas-baby-shower/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=sylvas-baby-shower http://www.christinaestebanphotography.com/blog/2011/06/sylvas-baby-shower/#comments Mon, 13 Jun 2011 22:22:22 +0000 Christina Esteban http://www.christinaestebanphotography.com/blog/?p=1770 I couldn’t be more excited about this delicious shoot from yesterday’s rainy day baby shower…hosted by the lovely Robyn Chalmers from Fashionista 514, there was absolutely nothing dreary about this day, bright and colourful lavendar’s and butter yellows lit up the room.  SylvaK is in the industry of Montreal weddings as a very stylish make-up artist.  She also happens to be one of my very good friends.  Sylva had a vision for her bridal shower, it was a well planned out theme that we all gooed and awwhed over.  I particularly loved the baby rhyme stationary, table numbers, baby shower invitations, candy and dessert tags as well as the thank you tags.  Sylva’s good friend from Tria Inc. took care of stationary.   Need I say more about the unbelievable cake, cupcakes and cookies on the table?  Honestly, Luisa Galuppo my heart skips a beat every time I see one of your cakes on the table.  Dulce Piu provided the yummy Pastries, Macaroons and Chocolates.  SylvaK – Made all of the flower arrangements! BTW – Peonies are my absolute favourite flower.   Not only did we all feel like ladies at a very cordial tea party, the musicians:  Margirta Sloboda (Guitarist) & Gabriella Rozankovic (Violinist) set the music tone with gorgeous acoustics that brought spring to life in the room.  I can always recognize those beautiful white tables from Sofa to go, I think they are a must at any event.  Bravo provided the White chairs which were so festive and perfectly suited for this event.  Lets not forget MaddyK who provided some of the gorgeous dish-ware.

I must also say, the internet has a plethora of wonderful original finds.  Sylva did her research and found the following little details and decor online:  The bird and butterfly pins on baby rhymes, ribbons, cupcake liners, wrapped lavendar boxes on the dessert table yellow giraffes, baby books (one turned into an adorable guest book for guests to write little notes for mamma Sylva).  Lets not forget that unbelievable lavender chocolate fountain!

As you can see, every last detail was carefully thought out. We celebrated Sylva’s baby shower at the Hyatt, where she and Zaven her husband recently got married last year.  Sylva and Zaven are expecting their baby girl, July 4th, 2011.

So much for my diet..I couldn’t resist a little taste of everything you see here.

Alexandra launched her company this year as an event planner: www. alexandraeventconcierge.com Alexandra met with me just a couple of weeks before the birthday party, and we quickly brain stormed some really great ideas for the girls and the photobooth and their fashion show.  Simply adorable.  Lets not forget Leslie from Kreavie www.kreavie.ca I am still craving those treats…maybe I forever will..the photos are a little too real. :)  What a gorgeous display of delicious sweets.  I’ve been lucky to work with Leslie in the past on several different wedding occasions.  The pink fuchsia roses decorated with the jewels on the vases, were a perfect fit for this girly birthday party.  Fresh and fun.  www.fleursdesjardins.com I’ve worked a lot with Celebrations as well, they provided the gorgeous table linens, and chairs. www.celebrationsgroup.com Well done, team!  I was so happy to be a part of this event.

Now, let’s get to the Photography already.

First week of February, I photographed James and his family in the radiant Sanctuary at the Shaar Hashomayim in Westmount.  Just look at the delicious light.  No photoshop in this first shot, folks…that’s just how the light was….I love those moments, just a few minutes later and that light was gone.  Golden light, how I love and miss you every day.  The following day, I photographed the party for James at Newtown.  Props to Lindsay Muciy, Linds is my assistant, she is my right arm, I don’t say it enough, but I love you.

Wow, in all of my shooting experience, I have to tell you, Bar Mitzvah’s have really evolved.  Atleast, this one was cool, urban and fun.  Fresh Entertainment brought so much energy and hype to the party.  Check out the breakdancing, the kids, teens, and adults were all having an absolute blast.  Times have changed….this was not a boring Bar Mitzvah party in any way.  I was so happy to have photographed this event.
